Due to the unique landscapes of Breadalbane, we have a wide range of natural history ‘sanctuaries’ in the area. Take your time to pause and saviour the views and you are likely to see something special.

Over the mountain areas, you have the real potential to see the high fliers - the Golden eagle or Peregrine Falcon. Whilst fishing or enjoying other water activities on the loch, you cannot fail to admire the fishing skills of a passing osprey or two and might even spot an otter.

Whilst walking you will find a wonderful array of wild flowers many of which are very rare and only found in this area of the British Isles. Go further afield and really explore an area and at each turn you’ll come across another marvel of nature.

Listed here are just some of the birds, mammals, insects and plants that you could see.
